'During the period 29th September-1st October 1918 in the operations carried out by the Battalion in the Bellicourt Sector, Lieutenant Pratt displayed great courage and devotion to duty. On the morning of the 29th September during a heavy fog he led his platoon in the attack on the Hindenburg Line with great dash, himself capturing 15 of the enemy. Again on the 30th September he handled his platoon with great gallantry and initiative under exceptionally heavy machine gun fire and during consolidation established a line of posts 200 yards in front of the line. He also brought back a wounded man under heavy fire. On the 1st October he led a fighting patrol through Joncourt with great determination, clearing the village and capturing seven prisoners. During the whole operations his work was of the greatest value to his Battalion and and he set a fine example of initiative, courage and devotion to duty to all ranks.'

THE LATE PRIVATE PERCY PRICE.
Private Percy Price was killed in action on August 6. He was the eldest son of the late Mr. John Price and Mrs. E. Saunders. Born at Boughrood, England, on August 10, 1894, he was 21 years of age. He was a member of the 6th Reinforcements of the 10th Battalion. Private Price came to South Australia six years ago, in the same boat as Sir Day Bosanquet, and settled down at Pinnnaroo, farming. He was a tall, well-proportioned, and hard-working young man, well liked, and popular. His mother resides at Penong, West Coast.
