THE LATE PRIVATE R. OLLIVER.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Olliver, of Leader street, Forestville, received a cablegram on Saturday informing them of the death of their eldest son, Roy, who was killed in action in France on August 12. He enlisted on August 2, 1915, and had seen service in Egypt, Arabia, and France. He celebrated his nineteenth birthday in Egypt on December 2 last. Before enlisting he was employed in the mirror works of Messrs. Thompson & Harvey. He was an active member of the Goodwood Baptist Church and was a favorite of all with whom he was acquainted.

OLSEN, Johannes Peter WilhelmServed with the Highland Light Infantry
Born 10 August 1886 at Freeling, SA Son of Jens Peter Wilhelm OLSEN and Marie Matilda nee JESCHSCHI (Jaeschke) The family believed that he was killed at Gallipoli. However he landed in Glasgow in the early nineteen hundreds, married and had two daughters, served with the Highland Light Infantry Known as John or Jack (mainly Jack) He served in the Highland light infantry 6/8/15 to 28/1/16 Home 29/2/16 to 9/4/18 M.E.F. Mesopotamia 10/4/18 to 30/8/18 B.E.F. He was awarded the Military Medal 3/1/18 ( Gazetted 25/4/18) Corporal Jack Olsen He also received the war and victory medals.
