This picture shows the St. Peter's College Football team who in 1912 played in the inter-collegiate match. Every one of the members of the team answered the call to arms, and crossed the sea to fight for his country.

I THINK it's taken at Abbeville, France and of 17 members of the 3rd Australian General Hospital.
My Medical Orderly Grandfather (2nd row, on RHS, in the cap) was Arthur James SYDNEY (No. 4776) from Perth, West Aussie, but he enlisted in Adelaide, SA. He was shipped from Melbourne as part of the 1st reinforcements from South Aussie, to 3AGH in Lemnos.
