The Register, 23 September 1915
LATE PTE. CECIL FOULIS.

News of the death of Pte. C. Foulis on August 20, at Choubra Hospital, Egypt, of pneumonia, came as a great shock, to his relatives and friends. Deceased was of exceptionally fine physique. The first news of his illness and death was received by his mother on September 4. He was the youngest son of the late Mr. George Foulis, grazier, of Horrock's Pass, near Wilmington, where he was born and resided until 1911, when he left to live with his brother at Oodnadatta. He enlisted from the latter
place in December, 1914, with the Light Horse and later, was transferred to the 4th Light Horse Field Ambulance.  He proceeded to Egypt on June 23. His upright manly character had won for him a large circle of friends by whom he was highly esteemed. Deceased was in the twenty-second year of his life.
