He enlisted on the 8th June 1915 and left Adelaide on the “Star of England” on the 21st September. He was wounded by gunshot during the Battle of Pozieres and was again accidently wounded during training in March 1917. He was killed in action on March 27th 1918 near Fusilier Wood in Belgium.
