Son of George Frederick Clark and Rose nee White. 

Henry enlisted on 6 January 1916. He embarked for overseas at Adelaide on HMAT A9 Shropshire, on 25 march 1916. 
Served on the western front. On 22 July 1916 he received a severe gun shot wound to the back of his neck. 
During operations carried out near Bullicourt from 29 September to 1 October 1918 he was awarded the Military Medal. 
Henry returned to Australia on 22 May 1919. 
He lived at Naracoorte after the war and died 9 December 1958.
